YANA Wellness is a cannabis dispensary and wellness brand on the U Street corridor in DC. We blend retail, education, and community — offering curated cannabis products alongside wellness programming and a welcoming, cannabis-friendly lounge space. We're looking for a Budtender who's passionate about cannabis, genuinely loves connecting with people, and wants to be part of a growing local brand.

What You'll Do

• Greet and guide customers through our product menu — flower, vapes, edibles, concentrates, and wellness items — with knowledgeable, judgment-free service

• Ask the right questions to match customers with products based on their experience level, goals, and preferences

• Stay current on our rotating product lineup, strain profiles, and effects so you can speak to them confidently

• Process transactions accurately and handle cash/POS responsibilities with care

• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant sales floor

• Check and verify customer IDs/documentation per DC cannabis regulations

• Support in-store events, wellness programming, and lounge operations as needed

• Help foster the welcoming, community-first vibe YANA is known for

What We're Looking For

• Must be 21+

• Prior retail, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred

• Genuine cannabis knowledge (or eagerness to learn fast) — strains, consumption methods, dosing basics

• Strong communication skills and a warm, approachable demeanor

• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable in a fast-paced retail environment

• Ability to work evenings/weekends as needed

• DC cannabis industry certification (or willingness to obtain one) a plus
