About YANA:

The YANA Wellness and Creativity Center - Cannabis Dispensary, is a Woman, Asian, LGBTQ+, & Black owned business dedicated to empowering the Washington, DC creative community. We provide a range of services from wellness therapies to creative workshops and have an in-house content studio built for various cutting-edge multimedia projects. We are looking for a Social Media Manager to amplify our message and create connections both online and offline.

Visionary Role:

As the Social Media Manager, you'll be the digital storyteller of YANA, forging partnerships with local and national brands and using advanced tools to create content that resonates and drives sales. You'll be at the forefront of digital trends, crafting strategies that build our online community and reflect our commitment to diversity, creativity, and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Brand Identity and Partnership Development:

    • Develop YANA's social media identity and manage partnerships with relevant brands.

    • Collaborate with influencers and agencies to enhance brand awareness and community reach.

  • Content Creation Talent:

    • Have an eye for “catching the moment” and ability to record video using iPhone and DSLR’s

    • Passion for storytelling and appetite for trend identification

    • Desire to create viral content that embodies YANA’s ethos

  • Content Strategy and Analytics:

    • Create engaging, interactive content using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Hootsuite.

    • Utilize social media analytics (Google Analytics, Facebook Insights) to optimize content strategy and monitor trends.

    • Understand and adapt to social media algorithms for maximized content visibility.

  • Emerging Technologies and Trends:

    • Stay abreast of emerging technologies like AI, VR, and AR to create innovative social media experiences.

    • Attend industry conferences and network with professionals to stay ahead of social media marketing trends.

  • Sales and Community Engagement:

    • Craft content strategies that drive sales and foster a robust online community.

    • Use creative campaigns and promotions to engage followers and convert them into customers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in social media management with a proven track record.

  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and content creation software.

  • Strong understanding of SEO, keyword research, and marketing analytics.

  • Excellent writing and communication skills for effective audience engagement.

  • Leadership skills to guide and inspire team members.

  • Experience in cannabis industry a plus, but not a requirement… just a passion for it!
